About this call
Kansas City's One Percent for Art program invites qualified professional visual artists or artist teams to design, fabricate, and install a permanent 3-D public artwork in the historic Martin City neighborhood. The work will occupy a dedicated 20-foot-diameter site at the southeast corner of 135th Street and Holmes Road, as part of the Holmes Road streetscape improvements funded by the voter-approved GO KC initiative. Eligibility is limited to professional artists age 18 or older based in the Kansas City Combined Statistical Area. The commission carries a minimum budget of $270,000, and applications are submitted free of charge through CaFE.
