Petersfield Museum and Art Gallery - South Downs Open 2026
About this call
The South Downs Open 2026 at Petersfield Museum and Art Gallery is an open exhibition welcoming submissions from everyone, from young makers to established artists. Entries are accepted from February 6 to August 28, 2026 (5pm BST). Anyone aged 5 and above may submit up to two artworks in any medium, including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, textiles and digital art. Adult submissions (18+) cost GBP 10 per artwork (non-refundable if not selected), while young artist submissions are free though booking is required. Applicants do not need to live or work in the region, but the submitted work must connect in some way to the South Downs - its landscape, history, the experience of living there, memories of visits, or how it inspires the artist. The exhibition takes place at the museum from October 10, 2026.
