About this call

Firehouse Art Center in Longmont, Colorado invites artists across the continental United States to submit proposals for their 2027/2028 exhibition program. The center welcomes solo exhibitions, group shows, and curatorial proposals from both emerging and established artists working in any medium, with a particular emphasis on contemporary, multidisciplinary, and installation-based work. Proposals that demonstrate cultural relevance and a distinctive artistic perspective are especially encouraged. The historic Firehouse building — a National Historic Landmark — hosts approximately 10,000 visitors annually across its two gallery spaces totaling over 1,000 square feet. The application window opens July 15, 2026 and closes September 11, 2026. Selected artists are responsible for shipping costs and maintaining liability for displayed work.
