CHEP Artist Roster for Murals, Glass + Wall Art
About this call
BC Children's Hospital Foundation, working with Aartplace Art Consulting and Curation and HOST Consulting, invites artists and artist teams from British Columbia and the Yukon to apply for the mural, window and wall art roster at the BC Children's Hospital centre for health complexity in Vancouver, on the traditional unceded territory of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. A selection panel will identify a curated roster of artists suited to 11 integrated art opportunities comprising up to 50 commissions, including painted and digitally produced murals, glass and window applications, participatory or community-based works, and framed or wall-based artworks. Roster artists are prequalified for consideration as opportunities move forward. Inclusion in the roster does not guarantee a commission, but selected artists may be invited to one or more opportunities. The art program is titled "Together, under this sky" and is shaped by empathy, kindness, togetherness, difference, belonging and care. Anticipated installation runs from June to August 2027.
