SONOHR Call for Works 2027
About this call
The SONOHR Radio & Podcast Festival in Bern has opened its call for works for the 17th edition, which runs from 26 to 28 February 2027. The festival is looking for narrative, innovative or interactive live audio works that create an expanded listening experience, including documentary, fictional or experimental live performances, live audio dramas, audio and sound walks, live podcasts, participatory formats and other interdisciplinary audio formats. It also seeks produced narrative short pieces of up to 20 minutes that break new ground formally, thematically, narratively or acoustically, and presentations of elaborately produced fictional or journalistic audio productions. Finished works, clearly developed project outlines and well documented projects already shown elsewhere are all accepted. For selected live and presentation projects the festival covers performance fees, accommodation and travel to Bern, while selected short pieces and audio productions receive a screening fee. The organisers note they cannot finance new productions. Submissions close on 3 August 2026 and correspondence is handled in German, French or English.
