47th Annual National Juried Art Show
About this call
The Arts Council of Wayne County has run this national juried show for nearly five decades, and the 47th edition is open to artists anywhere in the United States who are 18 or older. Drawing, painting, printmaking, graphics, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, mixed media and photography are all accepted, provided the work is original and made within the last two years. A 40 dollar fee covers up to four submissions and roughly 60 to 70 pieces are chosen for the galleries at 139 W. Walnut Street in Goldsboro. Juror Sally Jacobs, a painter and assistant director of the Artist Innovation Mentorship Program at the North Carolina Museum of Art, makes the selection and hands out prizes on merit alone regardless of medium. Cash awards total 1,950 dollars across five named prizes, with honorable mentions at the juror's discretion. Winners are announced at the opening reception on October 2, 2026 and the show runs through October 30. Work must be for sale, with a 35 percent commission on anything sold. Artists cover shipping both ways and must include a prepaid return label.
