2026 Art for the View: An Exhibition Celebrating Artists with Disabilities
About this call
Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation runs Art for the View as a free entry exhibition for artists with disabilities, drawing submissions from around the world. Only work made after the onset of a disability or injury is eligible, and pieces must have been completed within the past seven years. Painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, jewellery and fine craft are all welcome, within a 36 inch frame height limit for wall work and a 25 pound weight limit for sculpture. Reproduction prints are refused and every accepted work must be offered for sale. A jury drawn from the Capital Region arts community selects the show and names a Best in Show worth 500 dollars. The exhibition debuts at a ticketed event on 16 November 2026 at the Fenimore Gallery in Proctors, Schenectady, and stays on view into December. Artists arrange and insure shipping in both directions.
