About this call

In partnership with PATTISON Outdoor Advertising, the National accessArts Centre (NaAC) presents LandMarks, a public art initiative showcasing the work of 10 artists with disabilities from the Treaty 7 / Calgary area on billboards and public advertising platforms across Canada in fall 2026. Five artists come from NaAC studio program and five from the wider Treaty 7 / Calgary community. Selected artists join an 8-week co-mentorship program led by NaAC staff covering site and platform selection, critical conversations about public art, and the creation, documentation, and installation of site-responsive work. The project invites artists engaging topics such as care, rest, disability, climate change, activism, and treaty rights. Artists may refine existing work or create new pieces. A CARFAC-compliant artist fee plus materials, documentation, and production expenses are provided.
