About this call
The Dorothy Waxman International Textile Design Prize is part of Lidewij Edelkoort's Talking Textiles initiative and New York Textile Month. Now in its 12th edition, it recognises a current or recently graduated student in textiles or fashion who demonstrates sustainable thinking and innovative creativity in textiles. The winner receives a USD 5,000 prize sponsored by Mohawk Group. Finalists present their work online before a professional jury on Zoom at the beginning of September 2026, with their work highlighted across online and social media throughout the month. Applicants must be enrolled in an educational institution teaching textiles, fashion, interior or lifestyle textiles, or be a graduate from 2025 or 2026. Entry is free.
