About this call
The Appalachian Center for Craft at Tennessee Tech University in Tennessee, United States, is accepting proposals for solo and group exhibitions in its galleries in 2027-2028. It seeks well-developed proposals that highlight mastery and exploration in craftsmanship, feature new works of art and push the boundaries of craft, and encourages exhibitors to experiment beyond their usual craft customs or practices. Artists or curators may propose an exhibition for one of three galleries: Lakeview Gallery (about 335 sq. ft.), Joe L. Evins Gallery (about 692 sq. ft.) or Dogwood Gallery (about 1,300 sq. ft.). Exhibitions last two months, and each receives a $400 honorarium to help offset shipping or delivery fees and other costs. The selection committee evaluates artistic merit, the quality of the applicants' work to date, the ability to bring the exhibition to fruition and the clarity of the theme or concept.
