About this call
A seven-week artist residency near Joshua Tree National Park offering studio space, individual housing, and a $1,500 scholarship. Open to US and international artists at all career stages working in all media including drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, film, video, new media, installation, writing, and social practice. Three sessions available across 2027-2028.

- Open to US and international artists, 18 years or older. All media accepted including drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, film, video, new media, installation, writing, interdisciplinary, social practice, and architecture. Musical submissions not accepted. Must provide own transportation and vehicle during residency. Must attend entire seven-week session. Required to donate one completed work to JTHAR. Mid-residency review with board members required. Optional final open studio exhibition.
