Daylight. Savings. Time. Open Call Exhibition 2026

About this call

Tiger Strikes Asteroid, Philadelphia invites visual artists to submit work for its annual Open Call Exhibition, Daylight. Savings. Time., a curated group exhibition running from 9 January to 13 February 2027, with a reception on 14 January 2027. Work may reimagine, question or explore themes from a non-exhaustive list that includes body, capital, clock, work, labor, journey, leisure and recovery; all mediums are welcome. Members select the exhibition and also review the submissions throughout the year for future curatorial projects. Accepted artists are notified in the last week of November, and work must reach the gallery by 30 December 2026.

Who can apply

• The official call states no eligibility restriction
• Medium: Painting / Drawing / Sculpture / Photography / Printmaking / Installation / Video / Mixed Media / Textile / New Media
• Entry fee: $26
• Open to artists over 18 working in any medium; collaborative teams and collectives may apply under one application. Artists outside Philadelphia may apply but pay shipping both ways (with a return label), and at least a third of the selected artists will be local to the Philadelphia area. Fee $26 for up to five images, non-refundable; a sliding-scale waiver is available by email. Work must be ready to hang or install.
