About this call

The Hopper Prize is a grant-making institution and digital archiving platform offering individual artist grants on a bi-annual basis. The Fall 2026 cycle awards a total of $13,000 USD to six visual artists: two receive $4,500 each and four receive $1,000 each. All grants are unrestricted and may be used any way the recipients choose. In addition, 30 artists have their work archived on the Hopper Prize website, with selected work featured on Instagram and in the publication Insights into Contemporary Art. The prize is open to all artists aged 18 and older working in any media, with no restrictions on genre, subject matter, or media. Accepted disciplines include painting, photography, sculpture, drawing, video, performance, conceptual, experimental, installation, printmaking, new media, and textile art.
