About this call
The Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia (MOCA GA), in the U.S. state of Georgia, is calling Georgia artists for Gathered VII: Georgia Artists Selecting Georgia Artists, the 7th installment of its biennial group exhibition and the first Gathered to be held in the museum's new building, designed by Mack Scogin Merrill Elam Architects. Jurors Hannah Israel, Craig Drennen and Kelly Taylor Mitchell, all Georgia artists, will select the work. Artists submit digital images (or video for new media) of three works made within the last three years, along with a short bio of up to 150 words and a 50 to 100 word statement. Painting, sculpture, photography, drawing, mixed media, digital video art, performance art, film and print are eligible; jewelry, crafts and collaborative works are not. There is a $35 non-refundable entrance fee, and up to $5,000 in cash prizes will be awarded. Notifications go out by December 11, 2026; the exhibition runs January 23 to March 27, 2027, with an opening reception on January 23. Selected artists deliver and collect their work and cover shipping and insurance.
