Workspace Residency

About this call

Squeaky Wheel Film and Media Art Center's Workspace Residency supports artists, researchers, and curators working on media arts projects across three tracks. The Artist Residency track supports film, video, VR, games, sound, and installation work. The Researcher Residency supports critical texts and curatorial projects. The Silo City Residency supports performance utilizing unique industrial spaces. The two-week residency runs June 11-26, 2027, and residents receive full facility access, technical consultation, artist fees for public presentations, and community engagement activities.

Who can apply

• Domestic applicants
• Medium: Video / New Media / Installation
• Free entry
• Applicants must have a U.S. Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN). Full-time students during the residency period are not eligible. Local residents must wait two years before reapplying; non-local residents must wait five years. Only one application per applicant. Squeaky Wheel staff and board members are not eligible.
