About this call

The Visual Artist AIRspace Residency at Abrons Arts Center is a 20-month program running January 2027 through August 2028, supporting a cohort of three early-career visual artists based in New York City. Each fellow is paired with a professional artist mentor who is an alumni of the program. Residents receive a semi-private studio, an annual honorarium of $7,000, an annual materials stipend of $5,000, 30 hours of subsidized rental time in Abrons dance studios, and participation in a group exhibition. The program is designed for artists actively making and sharing original work who have not yet had many exhibition opportunities.
