OAC Exhibition Assistance Grant, Tangled Art + Disability Recommender
About this call
Tangled Art + Disability is part of the Ontario Arts Council Recommender Program, which provides financial support to help cover the costs of putting on an exhibition. Applicants must live in Ontario and have a confirmed exhibition starting on or after January 16, 2026. Tangled acts as one of several recommenders for the programme and gives priority to artists who are Deaf, Mad, Neurodivergent or Disability identified. Applications go through the Ontario Arts Council online system Nova and ask for basic information about the exhibition, a budget, answers to the application questions and the name of the recommender being applied to. The Ontario Arts Council also offers alternative services and application processes for Deaf, Disabled, Mad and Indigenous applicants, plus an Accessibility Fund of up to $500 per eligible applicant per fiscal year to cover the cost of application support.

- You must live in Ontario and have a confirmed exhibition that starts on or after January 16, 2026. All applications are made through the Ontario Arts Council online system Nova and must include basic information about the exhibition, a completed budget, answers to the artistic merit and project merit questions, and the name of the recommender. Support material is up to 8 images or up to 8 minutes of video or a combination totalling 8 units. Supporting documents are a resume or CV and written confirmation of the exhibition stating the start and end dates, the organizer name and contact, and the venue address. There is a second deadline on January 04, 2027, 1 p.m. ET.
