About this call
Rua Red, South Dublin Arts Centre in Tallaght, holds an annual open call for graduates, emerging and established artists who live on the island of Ireland or identify Ireland as home; selected work is shown in a group exhibition. This Winter Open takes Red as a starting point, as a colour and a concept: a warning, but also the colour of love, warmth, desire, energy, blood, fire and passion. Works do not need to use the colour red, and submissions are welcome across all art forms. The exhibition runs from 11 December 2026 to 6 February 2027. A selection panel chooses the work and also names a Judges' Choice, who is given a solo show in Gallery 2 within the following 12 months. Sales during the exhibition carry a 25% commission.
