  • For Minnesota-based mid-career public artists who have physically lived in Minnesota for 12 of the past 24 months and remain residents throughout the project period; collectives and artist teams may apply (a resume for each member). An artist may apply for only one Forecast grant per annual cycle. The work must be new, original, in Minnesota and freely accessible, with no ticket sales or fees; remounts, reinstallations, ongoing projects, projects starting before the grant year and private commissions are not eligible. The project site must be secured by the deadline, with a letter or email from the owner of the location giving permission. Apply only through Submittable by 11:59pm Central Time on October 18, 2026, with a project overview (up to 75 words), proposal (up to 500 words), community benefit, mid-career public artist status, diversity of lived experience and perspective, and impact on artistic development or career (up to 250 words each), resume (up to 2 pages), budget with documentation of support already received or committed, site approval, up to 10 images of work samples (or equivalents: 30 seconds of video or audio, or half a page of writing, per image) and work sample information.
