Queensland Regional Art Awards 2026

About this call

The Queensland Regional Art Awards celebrate artists living across regional Queensland through seven prize categories administered by Flying Arts Alliance. There is no theme for 2026, and both collaborative works and previously exhibited artworks are eligible. Categories include the Overall Queensland Regional Art Award, The Mervyn Moriarty Landscape Award, Remote Artist Award, First Nations Artist Award, Emerging Artist Award, Young Artist Award, and People's Choice Awards. All entries are automatically considered for the Overall Award and People's Choice Awards.

Who can apply

• Regional applicants
• Medium: Painting / Drawing / Photography / Sculpture / Mixed Media
• Entry fee: A$40
• Entries close September 18, 2026 at 3pm AEST. Entry fee: AUD $40 general, AUD $35 members, AUD $25 young artists (aged 15-25); all fees include GST.
