Llewelyn G. Pritchard Artist Awards for Teaching Artists 2026

About this call

The Llewelyn G. Pritchard Artist Awards recognize Washington State artists who incorporate teaching into their artistic practice across all visual art mediums and educational settings. Three awards of $5,000 each are granted annually, totaling $15,000. Applicants must be 18 or older, live in Washington State, and not be currently enrolled as students; a teaching certificate is not required. Applications open August 14th, with 15 finalists notified by September 27th and winners announced October 19th, 2026. Fee waivers are available upon request.

• Applicants must be 18 or older, live in Washington State, and not be currently enrolled as students. Submit an online application with images and materials demonstrating both artistic practice and teaching experience, plus a portfolio link. A $20 application fee via Stripe is required; fee waivers are available upon request.
