2026 Foundwork Artist Prize

About this call

The Foundwork Artist Prize is an annual juried award recognizing emerging and mid-career artists working in any media. Selection is based on artistic merit, judged from the first six artworks and the artist statement published on the artist's Foundwork profile. The 2026 selection period runs from 5:00 pm PT on 25 September 2026 to 5:00 pm PT on 31 December 2026, so profiles must be complete by 25 September. There is no separate application fee, but an active artist membership at $6 per month is required, starting with a 30-day free trial for new members.

Who can apply

• Medium: Painting / Drawing / Printmaking / Photography / Sculpture / Ceramics / Textile / Mixed Media / Installation / New Media / Video / Performance
• Entry fee: $6
• Open to individual artists worldwide aged 18 or over, working in any media, who maintain a published Foundwork profile with at least six artworks and an artist statement throughout the selection period. Duos and collectives are not considered. Residents of the following are not eligible: Argentina; Arizona (US State); Bosnia and Herzegovina; Bulgaria; Cuba; Iran; Kosovo; Latvia; Macedonia; North Korea; Quebec (Canadian Province); Russia; Saudi Arabia; Serbia; Sudan; Syria; and United Arab Emirates.
