About this call

The Art Worker Artist Grant is a biennial grant by Artist Engineering supporting artists whose livelihoods connect to art production, handling, exhibition, care, or stewardship. One recipient receives $5,000 AUD to support their artistic work in whatever form that may take, with no required outcomes or acquittal.

Who can apply

• International applicants
• Medium: Painting / Drawing / Photography / Sculpture / Installation / Performance / Video / Printmaking / Textile / New Media / Ceramics / Writing
• Free entry
• For artists who support their practice by providing labour in any area of the art industry, including museums, galleries, artist studios, collections, auction houses, art fairs, fabrication, framing, conservation, art logistics, and storage facilities. Submit a brief statement and a link to website, portfolio, social media, or work documentation. Application requirements are intentionally minimal.
