About this call

The VH AWARD, hosted by Hyundai Motor Group since 2016, is a media art award supporting emerging media artists whose work engages with the context of Asia. For the 7th edition, individuals and collectives may submit audiovisual art proposals; five finalists receive production grants to create commissioned works, and one Grand Prix recipient receives an additional $30,000 to support future practice. A new Honorary Mention category recognizes a broader range of voices. Commissioned works will be presented across global platforms including Hyundai Motor Group's Vision Hall in Yongin, Korea, HEK in Basel, the Ars Electronica Festival in Linz, and Singapore Art Week 2028. The open call runs May 26 to July 21, 2026, with the Grand Prix announced in June 2027.
