About this call

The Liu Shiming Art Foundation, based in New York, supports early-career visual artists through its annual Artist Grants. The 2026 program invites artists to propose current or new projects exploring the relationship between traditional, cultural, or historical influences and contemporary artistic practice. Each selected artist receives a USD 5,000 grant, disbursed as USD 3,000 by January 15, 2027 and USD 2,000 upon project completion. Applicants must have received a degree in studio arts between 2016 and 2024, or had their debut gallery or juried exhibition between 2016 and 2026. Artists of any nationality may apply, but all application and supporting materials must be submitted in English. Successful applicants are notified by December 2, 2026.
